Digital X-ray
Dr. Brown uses digital x-rays because he is concerned about your health. When compared to traditional x-rays, the use of digital x-rays reduces your exposure to radiation by 90%.

Digital x-rays also provide the advantage of super clear images, and the ability to spotlight areas of concern without films, developing, re-shooting and developing again.

Understanding your treatment needs is an essential part of achieving complete oral health. The use of digital x-rays along with images from an intraoral camera make it easy for you to see and understand the results of your examination as well as the treatment options available for your specific condition.

Intraoral Camera
The Intraoral Camera is a small computerized video camera which is used to take images of problem areas. These images can be magnified more than 300 times and then displayed on a computer monitor as well as the patient's TV. You can now see what Dr. Brown sees as you discuss treatment options.
Shown here is the view you see from your dental chair while Dr. Brown explains what you are looking at. This technology makes it possible to clearly see discolorations, fractures, problem fillings and other areas of concern. You are now able to make informed decisions about the treatment you choose in order to achieve the highest level of care.

Digital Panoramic x-rays
Digital panoramic x-rays allow Dr Brown to see the entire structure of your mouth, lower face, and neck in a single image. Simply stand on the platform while the x-ray head moves around your head. Like all our x-ray equipment this machine is digital with 90% less radiation.
This general and comprehensive view of your mouth makes it easier to assess your overall dental health and even shows us potential carotid artery blockages that can lead to strokes.

Sterilization and Water Safety
Because your health is our primary concern we practice water safety and sterilization. Each of our dental chairs has an attached water bottle which contains an isolated water supply and an antibacterial rinse.

To create a dental water supply system that no biofilm or contamination can live in, the water lines are flushed, every day, with an antibacterial rinse. In addition, every week the lines are flushed with an even stronger sterilizing solution.
